Heating for 55 gallon aquarium

I sorta detored from previous tank plans and went with a 55 gallon aquarium and added a tank divider so that i could house babies in the tank with adults until babies are mature and of proper size to house together. Given this configuration an UTH setup would be prefered. But what percentage of tank is needed to be covered by UTH
