I found crix to be too much work and too expensive to feed as a staple in my leo's diet...so I switched over to mealworms..Much simpler..you put them in a shallow dish that they can't climb out of, keep em in the leo tank 24/7 and change daily to keep the mealies gutloaded for optimum nutrition. And now I'm working with superworms as well. Crix I keep for a treat like wax worms. Every couple of weeks I buy them a couple dozen crix. I've got 4 hatchlings on a full, gutloaded mealworm diet. It works...but if you want to feed Crix..whatever works for ya..but the crickets have a tendency to hide under tank furniture and escape your leos...plus the fact that they'll munch on your lizards is one of the reasons I switched.
