I had two albinos that I was skeptical about. The person I bought them from said they were bells...which I doubted, but I thought they were cute.
I tested them out with my albino het female and my male albino, both tremper strain.
Out popped a little tremper baby today from an egg that didn't look ready to hatch for another couple days at least. Pale yellow-white and brown. She's probably only minutes old.
But her eyelids are deformed... poor thing. I'm going to see what happens. If she's able to eat and hunt I'll keep her as my own. Hopefully it won't come down to the other choice in this matter.
She's the only hatchling from either crossings so far. Hopefully it was an incubation issue...but time will tell if I get any other fertile eggs from them. If it is genetic I'm not sure what I'll do yet.
