Agreed.Ive emailed the senator.Tried to give his office a call,but of course,you get the answering service.Ive called several exotic pet stores in my area to see if they were aware of it.I had different opinions from each.Good and bad.Time will tell i guess.I hope the people at the department of agriculture are more user friendly than the TWRA officials.Maybe they might listen to reason!

:Could be. However, we are covered under the Agriculture in VA. Reptiles are not covered under the Animal Welfare Act, but they are companion animals. Therefore, we can call the State Vet when we are unhappy with Animal COntrol. IT still doesn't do much, but it can be a help. In many states, the Agriculture Dept oversees Animal COntrol and the pet store permits.
:What I suggest is to call the person sponsoring the bill and find out why they want this bill. If there is a problem, find a rep to suggest an amendment.
