Dear Sir/Madam,
Late night the TV news bulletins featured a so-called hero who was big and tough enough o decapitate a supposedly protected Brown Snake at Burleigh Heads ? Queensland.
The man's name was Dennis Carr and he was bragging on TV about his manhood and how the snake bit him some time after he'd bravely decapitated it.
You will be able to get the details of the case from the TV Networks that featured this news story on the evening of Monday 27 January 2003.
The whole case is a scandal and makes yet another mockery of the wildlife laws in Australia.
This letter is a formal complaint and request that he be immediately and properly charged, convicted and fined for his legal infraction.
It is noted that in it's live state the snake was no threat to the man and therefore any defence of threat to live is therefore removed.
