Laws Re: Green Iguanas in Australia & New Zealand?

I am interested in moving to Australia or New Zealand after graduation, but have heard that there are some rather unfriendly laws regarding exotics in Australia. Does anyone know exactly what current laws and/or fees apply to green iguanas in either or both of these countries? I would be especially appreciative of links to government sites where I can read about it myself; I haven't been able to find any, however. (... and I'm not going ANYWHERE without my baby!)
