I agree with Ace. The astroturf is easy to clean.

Also, I just fed it a mouse, and she almost got bit. It seems as though she has a harder time wrapping the prey up while on the turf. Makes sense, since she can't manouver her body under the turf to get a good grip like when in sand. In fact, she had to press it against the glass to kill it. So as long as I use turf, I'll go with stunning the mice from now on.

The only real problem I have with her hiding under the turf is that it's a pain to take her out. You have to move all the stuff on the surface.
