About to cool my kings for the first time, any advice?

Hey all,
Im about to cool my goins kingsnakes here in the next day or so. Do you all have any advice? Im going to do it in the basment. I put a thermometer down there a few hrs ago and its staying at about 60 degs in one spot, and about 55-57 near the floor. Will it work having it this warm? Or do I need to find some place cooler? Well thanks for your alls help!
