Not true at all. I think it has something more to do with the difference in insectivores vs. flesh eaters. If it is all carnivores, then why do anoles need it? Why do Sceloporus need it? They both eat only other animals, making them carnivores, yet they must abosorb UV B rays to metabolize calcium. Andy
