:Can these bites be serious? Dry's got a pretty hefty feeding response to say the least. i was just curious if a full grown dry would be able to cause a serious bite?? just wondering...
:Travis.

Travis,

Adult Indigos have extremely powerfull jaws and rely heavily upon them to subdue their assorted prey items. I have been bitten several times by them, and would have to say that a bite from a boa is preferable in my opinion. Often the bites are just a *feeding response*,no matter how heavily fed, Drymarchon seem to be attracted to movement. I have yet to see one strike and actually inflict a bite wound in DEFENSE of itself. I would be interested to see what observations others here have made in regards to the defense/ feeding response bite issue.

Thanks,
