Phil, you should never let a child handle a whipsnake like that. I have had them on any number of occasions go for my eyes & a child could easily be hurt. I have caught a great many of these beasts, they have long teeth & really make a believer out of you.
I will forever archive your foto, as a "teachable moment"!
Please put safety glasses on the wee ones if you're planning to tempt fate.
Stand by for the bunster shot...you'll love it & mebbe want to post it for the gang...

:Got to admit they aren't under heat lamps yet, for optimum metabolic output, but still, 80F isn't chilled either. Notice how the snake handling model is still all smiles, and not obviously bleeding anywhere from her facial or digit areas from any razor-like superficial cuts. I must apologise for her dentally-challenged grin. She's all I could afford for modelling purposes at the moment.

:Don't know what locality they originate from, as the dealer I got them from says he picked them up as babies in some non-descript pet store.
