This problem concernes my jungle carpet python. i'm posting it here as well as in the JCP forum cause i think some of the people in this forum are some of the most knowledgable on this site anyways....
My JCP is a cb 02 male. I have him kept in a shoe box sized sterilite container (but will be upgrading very soon). the warm side is about 88*. It began to concern me that he hadn't deficated lately. he's been looking a little thick lately, so i've' just been thinking any day now he will. then last night, i checked him, and his substrate was wet, with very little (i forget the name for it but that..)white chalky matter that they "urinate". It smelled a little like he had gone, i figured most of it was water spilled from his bowl. while cleaning this out, i noticed that his vent was slightly open. not only slightly open, but also having some chalky white stuff which apeared to be dried there. I considered a warm bath, but figured i would post this up first. i turned up the heat to the low ninetees last night. anybody know what to do? do i need to give him some type of laxative? thanks all
Travis.
