glad to hear your ig is healing! burns can take a long time to heal and since igs are cold-blooded, it takes even longer for them ... (am assuming you've been to the vet, have silvadene creme for the burns, etc.?)

regarding the spikes: do NOT cut them!!!!!
1) it's normal for them to curl
2) it will HURT
3) it'll bleed like crazy
4) will poss. become infected, esp. since your ig is already recovering from injuries
5) they may not grow back

spikes are very hard to shed ... you need to be sure his environment is humid enough and give him soaks in the tub on a regular basis ... that will help loosen the sheds
