Hello group! Been peeking in every so often and like what I've
seen so far. I have 1 question, does anyone out there know what
else goes in rodent chow besides alfalfa? We adopted a 4yr old male
that we had wormed. Now, from what I read on Melissa's site,
alfa is the good protien to feed these guys. Having a small
colony of mice for the snakes, I notice that at the bottom of
there food bowl is a lot of chow dust. What I have been doing for a couple days is shaking that dust on his food. I think it is mostly alfalfa, but am wondering what else might be in there. Any thoughts? Other than the worms and being terribly under weight, the vet says he's in pretty good shape. No signs of MBD and no signs of mouth rot. The guy is lucky we got him when we did. I have had him out in the sun a couple times for 1\2 hr or so, too . He dosen't know what to make of that. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks and keep up the good work.
