Wendy,

Rush Rush Rush....LOL....ya gotta be more like a turtle, girl!!! It will take time I'm afraid, but as I have said in the past....start out with 5 to 10 minute sessions...for a week or so, if things look and feel good, go to 15 to 20 minutes...if that turns out to be just alittle too much ....then back off some. BUT...at the same time...DO NOT..let him/her get the best of you....given the chance, they'll do it too. If he puts up a fight when you are holding him and you put him/her right back in it's cage.....WHO got what they wanted? YOU or him/her? The iguana did!!! And trust me, they will pick up on that too....any time they don't want you holding them, they'll just start their fits. And it won't be because they don't feel good either..they just figure out what it's going to take to make you quit holding them is all. But, Wendy, there will be times in your iguana's life, that they truly DON'T feel good, just like us humans when we have bad days, you will have to learn this behavor in time and learn to just leave your iguana alone on those days. Lola get's that way it's like she's saying "Hey, please don't mess with me today, I just plain don't feel good" and when she's like that....we leave her alone....period!!! The next day she might be back to her old self and enjoying the time we spend with her. But knowing this from your iguana will take time Wendy.
Wendy...it will all fall into place...just give it time.

HD
PS Did I mention....it will take time? LOL
