But if I were to hazard a guess, I'd say that you are not in the United States but are in a country where the temperatures outside are perfect for natural incubation. I'm assuming because of what shares the enclosure that this is an outside unit.

I hate to burst your balloon, but there won't be many people impressed with this. I'll try to explain why as best as I can in a forum. First of all there are many people who believe that eggs shouldn't be incubated at all to bring down the population of green iguanas. This belief is based on the abundance (in the U.S. anyway) of iguanas that have made them a cheap reptile to purchase. There are people who purchase them without a real knowledge of what their upkeep will become as they grow and then animal rescue groups become inundated with iguanas that people no longer want because they have grown out of the "cute" phase, etc. etc. much like the cat/dog problems in animal shelters. There are people who believe quite strongly that until this situation is reversed that there should be no conscious breeding of green iguanas much less incubation of the resulting eggs.

As to sharing of the enclosure....usually when someone asks if this, that or the other can be housed with an iguana, you will find that the vast majority will say no. This is because of the different habitat requirements for the different reptiles, amphibians, mammals and the real concern of cross contamination via shared food and contact with fecal matter. There is also the concern that injuries that maim, cripple, or cause death can occur when things that are not compatible are housed together.

Please understand that my post is not intended to harrass you or belittle what you conceive to be an accomplishment. I was trying to explain the posts that were here already that gave no details.

And on a lighter note...you don't want to get Harry's Dad started LOL

He is a passionate person. He works diligently in iguana rescue and knows first hand the trauma and ill-humane treatment these reptiles have received at the hands of humans. I think he was trying to keep from "flaming".

My own confession: the post with the + sign was mine. Sorry! I accidentally hit the wrong key and enter at the same time. Once you hit enter the damage is done!
