I would just pick a method & stick with it-- they do love routine! My last iguana refused to go to the bathroom when we moved, so we were forced to put him in the tub with warm water--soon he was in the routine of going there every day btw 5-7pm (& soon & empty tub was all that was required). If he had to go at an odd time for some reason, he would scratch on his door like crazy to be let out (he would always go once put in the tub after that behavior) Our new little fellow was taught to go in the tub within about a week of getting him-- he didn't need water after the first time, & goes in about 30 seconds (waits until you come home from work). Occasionally he'll have an accident, but I notice it is usually if he has had more fruit or a deviation in diet.
