My Ig twiggy decided he was going to see the nieghborhood today. I had him outside in his cage this morning, fed him and went back inside to work on a few things. Then later in the afternoon one of nieghbors knocked on my door, and told me that they had found an iguana and asked if it was mine. I went to go check on twiggy, and come to find out that after I fed him I didn't close the door to his cage all the way. He had pushed the door the rest of the way open, got out of the backyard, crossed the street, and was found heading for a neighbor's swimming pool. I guess I have to be more careful with him now, he used to would never leave his cage, even if I left it wide open. I also notice that the patients that I have had in taming him might just be paying off. When I went to go get him I was expecting to find a very upset iguana, because twiggy has never liked to be handled, and has never liked people very much either, but he wasn't upset at all. When my nieghbors caught him and took him back to their house he never put up a fight. They had him in the their front yard all day feeding him carrots. he didn't even hiss at me when I picked him up to took him home. I guess maybe I'm doing something right. I did get few compliment on him, my neighbors were facinated with him, they had never seen a lizard that big. He over 3 foot, he was 4 foot until he broke part of his tail off trying to hit me with it. and I was told about how pretty his colors were, he has a bright orange color to him. I'll have post a pic of him one day.
