In answer to some questions:
Nose to vent length is 7 inches. We had him for 6 weeks.
He has been separated from the other ig for 4 weeks.
The last time he pooped was yesterday, but I will put
in some paper in order to get the freshest sample for
analysis. The other ig( ie: Joey )is doing fine, even
though they had both lived together at the pet shop in a
large enclosure with other igs ( about 6 ).
By the way the pet shop is very good, I had a real long
talk with the general manager before purchasing any
animals. One employee is a reptile expert that gets
numerous calls from agencies to deal with reptiles,
most of the employees are adult bio students.
The main enclosure is 4'tall x 4'wide x 2'depth. Double
wall insulated( foam), motted green interior fading to
blue sky. Insulated windows front and rear.
Temp control, humidity control, UV lights
etc. We are putting in a waterfall( lower level ) soon
for water and more constant humidity. Lights and heat
all on timers. It has temperature variant zones both
vertical and horizontal.
The temporary encloser is a 20 gal aquarium with 1/2 log
hide spot, treated ( steralized ) branches, water dish,
and astroturf flooring. Has both ceramic heat source and
UV light on timer.
Let me know if you have any other questions. I will be
getting a fecal sample today or tomorrow. Joey will
hopefully ge getting de-wormer tonight or tomorrow.
