yeah..ok I think I know what plastic mesh your talking about. I do think that it is VERY abrasive (sharp plastic squares right?)I do think its very durable tho (if its the stuff Im thinking of) Don't underestimate the damage an ig can do to themselves. Especially nose abrasions .. a new cage setup...seeing outside..they'll want out of the new cage for sometime. Id put some window screen or "pet screen" 50ftx5ft roll is 20.00 at home depot!!) wrap around the bottom inside 4 feet of this pvc cage at *least* until he gets used to the cage and isn't so ready to pace and rub his nose raw, or rip off his toenails...my male ripped out most of his toenails in a 1/2 inch *vinyl* hardware cloth not to mention what he did to his nose...even the vet couldn't believe it...but he was a free roamer..and not used to being caged, don't know if this is your situation or not ...but there ya have it...food for thought.Good luck on your cage...I think it will be a great summer hangout for your Ig.
