: I built a cage for my Ig (twiggy) that is close to that size, as far as heating goes, depending on the weather the cage is usually outside, I live in south carolina, and during the summer the temp outside stay in the high 90's sometime its in the 100's. the rest of the time the cage is inside, and is heated by a 150 watt basking light hanging high enough over the cage so that light doesn't just heat up one spot and burn him. so far I've had no problems. As far as wire goes I would be careful, Ive seen a few ig get their noses scratch up while trying to find a way out of a wire cage.
Other than wire what would you suggest? If I were to buy 2 of those big ferret cages and doubled them, what would I use to make the holes smaller?
