He/she is only 6 months old.... He's been in a real "mood" lately, I assume partly because I have been playing with his diet and partly because it is approaching "that" time of month for me. I have learned to just not handle him for a few days every month because he goes bolistic! But this is the first time he has literally flew across the aquarium and bit me!. I was simply dropping some leaves down for him to munch on (for a treat - not that he deserves it, now). He was partway up his basking branch. When I reached down he turned around and came at my hand. His head is black - I assume to be shed soon. Can someone give some pointers on how I should behave after this happens? Leave him alone or force him to face me. The last few days while he has been in his "mood" I have been putting my hand in often without lifting him out. If he slaps me, I leave my hand in and pet him until he settles down. I must admit - I am a little intimidated now. Not to mention the fact that my hand is bleeding, which makes me feel a little sorry for myself at the same time. Just had to share...... Thanks for listening.
