Yes indeedy...my female was spayed also early last year...she still has orange coloration at breeding season time, restlessness and change in appetite. Potty habits same ...wait a minute come to think of it for a while there she was pooping in the living room area for a few days..I thought she was just mad at me for some reason could have been the residual breeding season behavior..My male recently neutered. The way his surgeon explained it to me...depending on the surgery whether oviducts were left, transfixed (similar to tubal ligation in human female)or removed..or in Feo's case , most of each testes removed but residual tissue left before it was trans-fixed so that the surgeon had *something* to transfix (suture shut)..the residual hormones released and are stored in fatty, soft tissue...and that leads to lingering "breeding season" behaviors. It is with subsequent breeding seasons (after the first post op breeding season) that these behaviors gradually subside.
Does that make any sense?lol
