Good work IZ'z Mom ...KY is readily available to folks working in a hospital setting...but not a common household item( I know THIS IS THE 90's!) I know that mineral oil is very safe to use around or even IN the eye as a protecting lubricant. I wonder how safe KY is in the eye. Reason is...mineral oil often recommended for eye problems, mites around the eyes, difficult sheds. Juana and Feo both have had a few difficult sheds especially around eyelids..I usually can get it off with a warm towel wrap..but have used mineral oil for lubricating their eyes to keep the shed softened.
