We use your #4 suggestion, the machine puts out around 750 sq.ft., but we have it in their iguana room which is only a 11 x 12 room. Let me tell you, if you stay in there for very long, you feel like you're swimming in water.
We also mist them at least 4 times a day and they both get baths once a day....well Harry gets it twice a day. We also spray down their salad before serving it to them. Although they do have water dishes...neither iguana drinks from them.
