Regarding how much to feed, if you are feeding the proper veggie (and small amount of fruit), you can't really over feed them. I'd suggest you give him the same amount, plus a little more than you did the day before. After a week or two, adjust the amount by what he will normally eat. Isn't it a relief when they finally start to eat! Whew! I'd still keep his cage covered for a few more days. Did you ever say where his cage is located in the house? Because of the way he's acting, I'd put him in a low traffic area of the house. Be patient! That's key with him.
