He finally decided to eat

My new Iguana (Godzilla) has finally decided to eat,he hasn't ate in 2 days,but his morning feeding was gone when I got home from work.YEAH
He still won't let me touch him but I did get to stand there and talk to him for alittle while before he wacked out again. Can a IG favor one person then the other?
Why I ask is Godzilla doesn't want anything to do with my husband or son,they don't mess with him but if they peek in Godzilla will instantly start up his suicidal flips.
Also how do you know how much food to put out for him?
