Low lights,low heat all contribute to low activity but he's gettin up there in age maybe you got yourself a certifiable "zoner". Re: avocado oil...more than likely will inhibit shedding that anything. Warm water misting/soaks is pretty much all that's needed save the oil for his spikes..and to loosenresistive casings...clipping nails..hmmm..don't advocate it myself..cut the very little bitty tip, you'll still get scratched up but not razor sharp so important to "arm yourself" long sleeves, cut off tube socks, gloves ..ya know what ...don't tell on me....I was gonna buy some of those mittens for babies to put on them so they won't claw me to pieces but the mitens are too little for their big claude cadiddlehoppers and since I can't sew..I have to stick with the tube socks :-( at Kevin Egans site they have a pic of exactly how much to clip off and at Melissa Kaplans site they have techniques on how to do it (wrappin em in a towel)ok!
