my admittedly paranoid 2 cents ~
i'm the resident paranoid-mom here + infections in igs scares the buggers outta me ... it's my rather strong opinion that this ig would benefit from a course of antibiotics (Baytril) since there are multiple abcesses ... ESPECIALLY since this ig is already in poor health + possibly has been for some time, COMBINED with the fact that igs heal slowly anyway ... just makes ME nervous ... it IS possible that the kidneys etc, can be affected even tho the sores themselves appear to have healed ... (been there, done that, still feeling guilty! *weak grin*)

sneezing ... yep, igs sneeze to get rid of the body's excess salt ~ humans sweat, igs sneeze ... have never heard that it's due to low humidity tho ... ?!?? not saying it's not true, just i've never heard that ...

i've noticed that when i have to put iZ back on oral-syringe fluids, he sneezes alot more the 1st few days ~ seems more like the lack of humidity inhibits the body from properly ridding itself ... (total guess work here, based on one ig-mom's observations) ... and ... iZ seems to be the exception rather than the rule and he does have a messed up metabolic system ...

sneezing IS related to the sodium content of their diet ... iZ likes canned green beans (hates fresh ones!?) and i have to be careful to get the low-sodium kind and rinse them well ~ it still tends to add enough salt to his diet to be noticable tho ...

make sure your ig is getting extra fluids and a high-cal diet while it's working on getting healthy ... would also maybe up the temp a bit higher than you normally would ...

good luck!
Bon.
