oooh ... get rid of the reflection! he's attacking now cuz the bobbing didn't chase off the bad, ugly lizard that's trying to get into his house ...

our tv cabinet used to have mirrored doors and iZ absolutely *hated* that bad, ugly, lizard that lived under the tv!!! he'd get down on the livingroom floor and immediately raise up and posture and strut on tippy toes and head bob and open mouth hiss .... i finally removed the mirrors and it took a week of him looking for that bad ugly lizard to make sure he was gone ... he saw his reflecton in the bathroom mirror once and refused to "use the tub" for days, til i realized what the problem was and covered all the mirrors and showed him *that* bad lizard was gone too ... (i just open the cabinet before i take him in there and he can't see the mirror)

try putting something against the side of the tank that reflects ... maybe light colored/leaf patterned paper on it ... (dark color on the outside will reflect more ...) once he realizes his antagonist is gone, he'll calm back down ... good luck!(how big/old is Max?)
