from what i understand, igs rather prefer to be *the* ig ... i don't think they really get lonely for other igs (unless maybe if they'd grown up with another) ... iZ seems to be fine snuggling with *just* me ... he *knows* he has me convinced that he's the alpha! (shhhhh! don't tell him that

just cuz he's getting older, that doesn't necessarily mean that he'll lose interest in his frog-friend ... i wouldn't worry about it as long as it keeps working ... *grin* ... (and at least *it* won't bite back!) ...

the *best* thing for shedding is a nice warm soak in the tub ... it softens up and loosens the dead skin and it'll just rub right off ... i've had to get creative with iZ cuz he has never really liked to be in water ... so now i am his *bath attendant/servant* ... i start with an inch of warm water in the tub, leave the shower hose running so the water stays warm and *slowly* gets deeper (hose head under the water cuz he doesn't like the sound of the faucet or shower), and put a washcloth over his back and pour warm water on him ... ahhhhhh ... he actually stays in the tub for up to 45 minutes now! i think too, that he's finally understanding the connection between water and less *itchies* cuz his shedding is going so much faster and easier this time around!

i follow Jen Swofford's/Melissa Kaplin's diet suggestions (for the most part)

let us know what else you want input on, we've all got *lots* of stories about our ig-adventures! *grins*
