My little sneakers is going to be a year old in July. Actually we have made tremendous progress but I didn't realize it until recently. Some days we're the best of buds and the next day she doesn't know who I am. At least when I first go in to get her. I've been thinking that the way we change clothes, thus our colors, and depending on what we've been doing, like cooking, cleaning, yard work, we change are smell. If must be confusing for sneakers. She calms down most of the time, after I pick her up. I think that once she is close to me she can smell that its me. I'm going to buy a smock that I always will wear when I go to get her. I also have decided to use some of the same light scent just before going to get her. Maybe just washing my hands with the same soap just before going into her. I will let everyone know how that works.

Lately I've been taking sneakers outside in the sunshine when the weather is nice and warm. On those days, friends seem to stop by to relax in our backyard with us. I realize how far sneakers and I have come when someone will come up to her to look at her. I don't let anyone touch her yet, I don't want to frighten her. When they approach her she look at me and then will run up my arm or onto my head. She will do this even if she is on the grass. Run back to mom and hide as close to me as possible. Even though a minute before she was trying to get away from me. When danger threatens she looks to me as being her protector. That let me know that at least she trusts me not to eat her. LOL

Stormn, just be patience and don't take it seriously when your little ig freaks out. Just remember the little ig thinks it going to be eaten. Thats quite a large fear to put to rest. Look for the little baby steps in the relationship, you might be surprised.
