Hi and welcome! I have a male too , the big ole lug. Takes time for them to acclimate. Try getting him used to noises have a radio, music going (my juana loves music! latin salsa!..must be the columbian in her) and seeing things...have him sit at an open, screened window.watching cars, people, cats, dogs, what have you going by....so he is a little more accustomed to them. Even so when all is said & done something he may "get used to" can startle him anyway one day and freak him out again...then back to square one.Do an archive search(top right)here on "leashes" In anything with iguanas taming, conditioning adaptation...CONSISTENCY has to be at the forefront.Let him roll himself in a knot(maybe a good time to get him used to taking a bath while he's tied up like that! lol) Do it again the next day...then the next then the next..start out INSIDE before venturing out. Some people use those hind leg harnesses, if you have a big boy with spines radiating down the past hind legs may not make much difference. As far as him being "lonely" hmmm actually I think that ............he likes it & will become a big ole spoiled brat like any number of the iguanas on this board!! Including mine! Chin up, sit back, get ready cuz ..boy have we got some stories to tell you!
Gina, Juana the Pee pee problem girl & Feo the big ole lugnuttless wonder
