Hi BabyHerp:
I don't know anything about UricAcid but regarding hydration, the vet who operated on Meggy warned me that kidney failure was very prevalent in adult iguanas and that it is very important to keep them hydrated by misting several times a day (which raises the moisture taken in thru the lungs) and by giving them water via a syringe daily. I have a 2 tsp. syringe (without the needle end!) that I give her a drink with daily. She has learned about it and accepts it quite well. Of course, the down side is more poops! Good luck with your baby.
