Only experience with this is in people (dad has recurring gout). Don't imagine you feed your babes "organ meat" so that leaves the possibility of dried beans, dried peas and breads. If you used any of those three, you might try eliminating them and see if the level falls. I also know that dehydration can cause the levels to go up. But how much more can you do to raise hydration? With soaks, mists and drinking...what else is there? I can't even get mine to soak!
