I recently adopted an iguana from a local petstore. Someone had dropped him off because they couldn't take care of him. The first thing I noticed was his color, instead of a vibrant green, he was dull brown in color. He is slowly changing color back to green but I wondered what was wrong. Also Sammy doesn't have any claws and his back feet look as if half of the toes were cut in half. they are almost like little stubs. He is very afraid and has tried to whip me a couple times when I have let him out on the carpet. He is about 12" in length and is kept in a 55 gallon tank which lies on the floor. He eats dandelion greens, iguana food, I have a heat lamp at one end and an incandescent bulb at the other. There are tree limbs to climb on Mist the tank twice a day with water. I pet him a few times a day and try to get him used to me, once I actually pet him he calms down. Is there anything else I can do to make his life more comfortabl, I would appreciate anything you have to say, Sincerely, Amy and Glen
