Howdy,
If your ig is anything like Harry, he'll be brown the rest of his life. Does your ig have two or three (horns)spikes on his nose? Harry does and I have found out that he is a Mexican iguana. Unlike Lola our female who is goldish green with black stripes, Harry will stay brown and black. His stomach is green and his inside part of his legs but everything that is facing the sky is brown/black. As far as the orange goes Harry did that last month off and on for about 2 weeks but he's pretty much over with it. I, myself haven't heard of a male staying orange for as long as you said. You can see Harry's picture on the family website for this forum at: http://start.at/ig_pics
I have included the link to it. Hope I've answered one of the two questions you had...sorry about the orange one....don't know what to tell you.
I wish you the best with your ig
Harry's Dad
