Maybe I missed a few posts, but how is Miss Meggy doing these days? Fine, I hope!?! I think I read or was told by someone that kidney failure can be caused by too much protein in the diet too (hense, little Harry's former owners giving him cheese!). When we had blood work done on him a month or so ago, his protein level was very high. Now I even hesitate to give him beans (protein). We were giving him water and gatorade through a syringe, but have since stopped. I've been told that actually misting the iguana really doesn't do much good as far as intaking the water. We heavily mist Harry's greens before we give them to him. We also run a room size humidifer in the iguana room. We paid about $40 at Sears for it recently. I'll keep my eyes open for more info on kidney failure info and if I see any, I will certainly pass it on.
