I would never recommend Centrum (too much Vitamin A+D (fat soluble so stored and accumulates),and trace metals than ANY reptile vitamin I know of. What type of reptile vitamin are you using?,
how much are you using?
and how old is your iguana?
As Iz's mom posted if you go with a made for human supplement go with a childern's multi-vit like Flinstones or Bugs Bunny crush and sprinkle (as you would salt your own food), mix thoroughly in salad and if your iguana is under 2, I'd do this about 3xs a week. Many ig people fear oversupplementation on the contrary....majority of igs are UNDERsupplemented and suffer from metabolic problems like low calcium & B vitamins like B1 & B12, and high phosphorus in diet.
The key is NOT to overdo it with the vitamins...more does NOT mean better when it comes to supplementing, just a pinch!
There really isn't a reason to supplement a mature igs diet IF he is getting a well constructed nutritious diet, unless you have a female that is gravid or an ig that is stressed/ill.
