In Reply to: Head seizures & Tremors.. sorry so long but pls read :( posted by Chris on May 17, 2001 at 10:34:20:

the only thing i can think to add is a question about his room ... how warm is it? and how humid??? could maybe be that he's not warm enough to properly process/digest his food???

for calcium supplements, i prefer TUMS ... iZ likes the berry flavored ones + so it's easy to sprinkle on his fruit + he'll eat it ok ... the ingredient in TUMS is calcium carbonate which will also work to bind excess phosphorus (which may be a concern ofr your ig since his calcium is sooooooooo low ... ?) ... either way, i use TUMS ... *grin*

and it DOES sound like your ig was 'getting hormonal' ... igs don't always go into season at the same time ~ like Gina said, there's many variables ~ no set rule! (iZ usually starts in may or june ... go figure ...)

don't keep kicking yourself and blaming yourself! you did a GOOD thing by getting to the vet ASAP and you're doing MORE GOOD by trying to figure out how to help him!! so ease up on yourself ok? yes, there's things that you can probably improve upon, but there's nothing glaringly WRONG or harmful in what you were doing ... sometimes things go wrong no matter HOW good our intentions or how hard we try ... (been there, done that ... )

let us know how Syd's doin' ok???
(iZ sends him headbobobobobobs + a piece of melon!)
