wow- i think i'm goin' over to Petrie's to eat from now on! (*me* not just iZ!) (*grin*)

(iZ *LOVES* leafy greenz! his previous human (word used very loosely!) fed him *only* canned green beans + red sweet peppers!)

Collards are the main part of his diet and are the only thing he will pitch a *fit* if they're not included *every* meal

the rest is based on availability and what we got *last* week ...

(the leafies are washed, dried and torn into iZ-size pieces and then mixed together in a giant bag for that weeks main salad)

cilantro
Lacinato Kale (aka dinosaur kale)
Gai Lan ... a Chinese leafy brocolli
Amaranth (leafy stuff)
Rapini (more leafy stuff)
celery leaves (+ some stalk sliced in strips)
swiss chard (sometimes)
watercress
dandelion greenz (YUM!)
(will *NOT* eat mustard greens, turnip greens or 'regular' kale!)

these are washed/sliced + mixed up into another container and are added to the main salad for supper:
green onions
green beans (he likes canned better than fresh tho!!!)
brocolli flowerettes sliced thin
sweet potato (sliced very thin)
sweet pepper (yellow or orange, don't like red ... cut in thin strips)
zucinni (sp?) (thin slices)
yellow squash (thin slices)

he gets fruit with his supper meal ... (shhhh! his vitamins are hiding in it!) his FAV. is *Oranges* and if i go more than 2-3 days without putting some orange sections on top of the salad i am in *b*ig* trouble! he likes kiwis too, and diff. melons ...

i pile it all on a plate and microwave it for 10-15 secs cuz he likes it better that way *grin*

he doesn't get a calcium supplement but he does get vitamin supplement every day with his supper ... a small sprinkle of crushed Centrum on his fruit .... (shhhh!)

he eats as much as he wants, twice a day (he'd probably eat at noon too if i was here to fix a fresh salad!) ... hubby takes me to work and then comes back home and feeds the dragon + turns on his lights, etc. about 7am ... i get home about 4pm and bring the dragon downstairs to use the tub, have supper and be 'social' til bedtime ...
if we're in an 'orange' mood, all bets are off .... hehehe

that help any???
: P + : )
