i understand, and i really don`t feed him baby food often, he doesn`t really like it all that much. i try it every now and then to see of he does for a treat, but i don`t feeed it on a daily basis. the only time that i relyed on it heavily was when i fed him the mk diet and he would`nt touch the salad, only the leafy greens, so i would spread a layer of baby food on the underside of the leaf like you would put butter on toast and then i would press the salad into the baby food so that it would stick to the leaf when he treid to eat the leafy green. i would try and fit as much of the sallad onto the leaf as possible so it wasn`t as if the leaf had baby food oozing from it or anything. the thing is, he is already a problem eater, his previuos owner, my little brother, fed him nothing but bok choi and lettuce and his owner beofre that was the one who instucted my brother to do so, so leafy greens and bad ones at that were all that petrie has ever been fed, he is not used to nor does he like the idea of a vegetable. i was trying to get him aquainted to the salald this way, if i couldn`t get him to eat it with the green, i would have to roll it up into the green and hand feed it to him, which i understand is also a bad habit to get your iguana used to.

: Iguanas are born herbivores(PLANT eaters).....I only use babyfood to make medicines pliable,palatable & mix it in salad. Bad habits are hard to break...you're not doin any damage to Petrie just not doin him any good either IMHO. In a pinch...grab a package of frozen veggies, collards and keep on hand I know some people who swear by Veg-all (cheap veggies in a can) when they are in a pinch. I'd try to keep Petries diet as close as possible to plant-like (consistency & all) so he's not a problem eater later.
