Sam...buy the porcelin/ceramic clamps at Home Depot...couplea bins over! They sell for about 7.00 & are great for incandescants /basking spot lights & ceramic heat emitters up to 250 watts. I have all my heating/light inc. UVB plugged to a power surge strip & to that a TIMER (Home Depot 5.00) then into electrical socket......Then at other electrical socket I have A TIMER (Home Depot 5.00..lol) /power surge strip with the ceramic heat emiters & heat lamps ...no constanst plugging, unplugging, thank you Lord for timers!
You should NOT have your che's on ANY fixture that has a switch....big time no-no owie scardee cat firemans come to your house.
