No, laying them days apart isn't really considered normal. However, it happens more often than you might be led to believe (it happened with ours & I know of others). It CAN be a sign of something not being quite right. If you do not have a herp vet, please get one RIGHT NOW before you have a need for one in an emergency situation. I would consult with him/her and see what they would have you do at this point. It is essential that egg-leakage or egg-breakage while they are still inside be avoided. A good place for advice re all this is at the Kaplan site. I believe she also covers setting up a nesting site. Your iguana will dig, dig, dig until satisfied and then lay up to 40 (or more) eggs.

I realize that one would think that since iguanas are "wild" that they need nothing from us to just do what comes naturally for them in regard to laying their clutch. However, that is not always the case. An iguana needs to have been exercising frequently in order to have the muscle tone she will need to lay so many eggs, etc. If you can find it, I would also recommend reading the articles on reproduction that were in the new Annual edition of Reptiles magazine (has an iguana on the cover).

This is a stressful time for your girl and things should be kept peaceful and calm around her enclosure. You probably know this anyway...but she won't want to be putting on a show for the neighborhood! LOL

Please keep us updated and best wishes to you both!
