: I just adopted a male iguana named Spike. He is about 3 1/2 years old, and he is very healthy. His previous owners tell me that he has not eaten much at all in the past month due to mating season. The iguana did the same thing last year. He still looks very healty, but how long until he starts eating again? My male Talon, about the same age, eats just fine during mating season, so I haven't experienced this yet.
: The previous owners of Spike did a wonderful job with him. He was fed a proper diet and everything.

He might also not be eating because of his new home.Just make sure he gets food and plenty of water everyday and watch his weight and he should be fine.Cirsis is just starting to get her appetite back do to that time of the year.I wish I could stop eating and lose some of my winter weight.Lots of red double hibiscus for you all.
