It was my (amateur) understandgint that those pores were normal in males and certainly more pronounced during the breeding season. Maybe that's it?
: I've been noticing on Darwins Femoral Pores, that they're not just little lumps anymore. they've grown into these big...yucky looking sort of spikes...I heard that they're a waxy substance, I assume in the wild it's for territory marking, but should we be rubbing it off? Does this mean that he's not getting much exercise? He does come down off his basking branch too poop in his water bowl and eat..I put the food on the floor of the tank to keep him from getting too lazy!! But even when he's out and freeroaming, he goes to one of the basking spots and just chills out. The femoral pores are grossing me out a little...what should I do?
