We aquired Lola a year ago at age 5. She adjusted pretty fast. The previous owners let us keep her cage until we could get one built. We think that that helped with the process. Less change in environment means less stress. Did you give all of your igs things (cage, limbs, food dishes, etc) to the new owners? If not, I would. Harry our newest ig had a hard time adjusting the first week he was here. He's doing fine now (going on 3 weeks). We spend a lot of time just talking softly and touching (petting) our igs. Sometimes you have to move slowly. We would recommend that the new owners go out and buy James Hattfield, III's book Green Iguana The Ultimate Owner's Manual. We highly recommend it. It talks about what is going on with your former ig. Be patient. And good luck.
