-to have you. You know, once Jewel trusts you a little more (probably when she lives with you all the time this summer) you might want to try clipping her claws with a bird-claw clipper. It will make handling more fun for both of you. :)

Has she gone through a breeding/ egg laying season yet? If her former owners weren't taking good care of her, she may have unlaid eggs still in her from the last two years or so. A vet visit would give you peace of mind.

I am sure your husband will fall in love with her, too!
