ok, i've always had bigger nails to work with than you do, but ... i hold the nail itself (not the toe/finger) between my thumb + forefinger in one hand and hold the emery board in the other ... (the needle-like points don't get caught as easily if you hold the nail) i always thought filing was easier than clipping when iZ was smaller, cuz really, it's just that sharp little point ya wanna get rid of .... now that he's such a big boy (*grin*), i still file them on a regular basis so that i don't have to actually trim as often ... (when i do actually clip them, i then file them so they're rounded ...)

the dragon gives me weird looks too ... he just thinks it one of those weird things humans do for no particular reason ... lol ...

speaking of >40 eyes, i have to take my glasses *off* to focus .... (don't even *talk* to me about threading needles!)
