eating big pieces of greens?is this okay?

Well I am having a hard time getting my ig to eat his greens! Since i moved him into his new enclosure (i am sure he likes it after his swim in his big pool at lunchtime) He is still being very aggressive while in his cage, although if i manage to get him out he does not try to bite. anyway he was biting at me so i got a big piece of greens and put it in front of him and of course he bit at me and got the green instead. It was kinda large but he managed to swallow it down. It was the most greens i have got him to eat at one time!~ But is the largness of the piece really a bad idea??? thanks for your input!
